The Construction Safety Regulations state that a person must not be allowed or directed to carry out construction work unless they have undergone OHS Construction Induction Training.
Workcover NSW
The General OHS induction training must be conducted by appropriately qualified trainers with Workcover accreditation and the course must be approved by Workcover.
NSW OHS Act 2000
Employers and Principle Contractors must ensure people carrying out work have relevant OHS induction training.

Course Objectives
The objectives of the General OHS Construction Induction Course is to familiarise participants with the basic principles of health and safety in the construction industry in order to assist in the prevention of injury and illness at work.
On completion of the course the participants will receive a Workcover Statement of Training and Workcover issues the card.
