WTSD has become a licensed Traffic Control Training provider for using a STOP/SLOW Bat.
Course Contents
The course we will be conducting outlines the legislation, responsibilities, traffic control procedures, hazard identification and risk management. There is a pratical and theoretical assessment that covers these learning outcomes.
Learning outcomes include how to:
- be properly dressed
- understand your authority
- recognise the importance of correct procedures
- be properly located
- communicate effectively
- assess changing traffic patterns
- know what to do in an emergency
On completion of the course, participants receive a Statement of Completion and an RTA photographic identity card is issued by mail.
Course Suitability
This qualification is important for people wanting to work in the local government, road construction and maintenance or any areas where works are carried out on roads or road reserves. The training must be updated every 3 years to comply with legislative requirements.
